According to media reports, many developers received an email notification last night indicating that "Your Azure OpenAI service will be terminated on October 21, 2024." Due to local regulatory requirements, only enterprise customers in mainland China are eligible to subscribe to Azure OpenAI services.

Microsoft Azure sales representatives said, "Currently, we have not received any notification, but many customers have reported receiving notification emails. Even if (individuals) cannot use it, we will have other alternative solutions. Many individual users are currently switching to enterprise accounts to use, and they can still continue to use it."

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform. By deploying OpenAI's artificial intelligence platform on Azure, Azure can provide OpenAI's API services, allowing developers to build various applications using these API services.
